Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!
There was a little girl who always wanted to be who she was
She saw the world in color, possibility and imagination
She was a little girl who wanted to express herself in her own weird way
But the world kept trying to teach the weird out of her
And so she hid it
Oh it would come out occasionally when she would die her hair purple, write a quirky song or get another tattoo
And when she wasn't running around the country trying to get to the top of the KPI Dashboard or go for more money and bigger title,
She would grab her running shoes made of accomplishments, accolades and look at her
Trying to outrun the stress of suppressing her weirdness
She looked like she fit. She was covered in marathon medals
But they became her chains
And then one day, her vertebrae collapsed
She couldn't run, couldn't work, couldn't walk and couldn't get out of pain
The one thing she thought made her fit in was gone!
And that's when she decided she could no longer hide
She refused to hide
The pain of her vertebrae was nothing compared to the feeling like she didn't belong
So she decided to embark on a journey to embrace her weirdness...
And now she has made it her life's work to help you bring more color back into your life, leadership and teams and find your way back to your weird again.
and when we do this
That's is when belonging begins
That little girl was me and so is this
